Since I was running short of things to blog, I thought it would be a good idea to recap some books that I have read. The most recent read was a Flemish entry by Jef Geeraerts, Cro- Magnon (2006). I bought the book on my recent Jan trip to catch up on my Dutch and hopefully catch a good story. Unfortunately, the famous(?) Flemish author fell short putting together a story good enough to recommend this one. Two good old boy detective have a good old time drinking (belgian passtime) in the sun (missing in Belgium) and along the way help the French detective solve the mysterious beheading of an oncologist….yep, I fell asleep too. Sorry Jeff, ik had beter verwacht.

Since the cathodeTV upstairs finally passed away, it was time to hunt for the next high tech toy. Specs were to keep in armoise (40″ or less) and have 1080p. Go figure that dealnews showed an ad for a $1400 samsung online at Fry’s.

Here’s the Spec sheet for Samsun LN-S4095D and (for my reference) the user manual.

    There’s even an online manual.

Since I am still awaiting delivery, a picture will have to doSamsung

It’s the end of February and that means another family birthday…Nicholas turned double digits (he couldn’t wait) and we had a small cake event at home.

He was lucky enough to get a ski weekend with Mom last week and got an extra day off school since everyone was snowed in over the weekend.

Here’s a highlight of the bday event, Nicholas and friends for cake

After lingering a few years with MovableType, I made the switch to WordPress upon the recommendation of Lance.

WordPress offers an incredible range of themes, plugins and interfaces. Hopefully this will inspire a few more posts :) !
