Business Financial Newswire &#8211; Smiths Group says that it diagnostics business, Smiths Detection has signed an agreement whereby Novartis is granted exclusive rights to market Smiths Detection&#8217;s Bio-Seeq instrument which enables rapid detection of bacterial and viral pathogens.</p>
<p>Novartis Diagnostics will be responsible for clinical trials, regulatory affairs, sales and marketing.</p>
<p>Financial terms have not been disclosed, but payments will be linked to product development and commercial milestones.</p>
<p>Bill Mawer, President of Smiths Detection Diagnostics, says: &#8220;We are delighted that such a major health company as Novartis has chosen to invest in the Bio-Seeq platform and our LATE PCR technology.&#8221;</p>

The major branches just missed the critical structures and the canopy provided some cushioning. Still quite a bit of damange and a challenge to get the tree cleaned up from the roof and the hill. Victor from East Bay Tree service got his crew together and got most of the job done on Saturday.<br />
